Observis Oy is seeking talented and motivated Software Developers to join our team in the development of our Situational awareness software. We are a small but growing company that specializes in providing cutting-edge solutions for safety and security.

Position: Software Developers (Mid to senior level) 

Location: Mikkeli or Kuopio, Finland (at least for the first year) 

Traveling ability: Advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our development team to design, develop, and maintain software.

• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, and deployment.

• Work on international projects and engage with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our software offerings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Java, TypeScript, and React.

• Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python and C++ is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development.

• Prior experience in the safety and security field is desirable.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Finnish or other languages would be an advantage.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
